Ingredients we don't use
CONCIO has its own standard of ingredients for the safety, toxicity and sustainability. Our standard is based on the biodegradability evaluation by the EU's Marine Conservation Organization (Plastic Soup), the European Chemical Agency, the European Commission and the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety, the American EWG and CIR evaluation and research, the Canadian Domestic Substance List, and the Australian Clinical, research and evaluation by the Japanese Society of Immunology and Allergy and the Japanese Consumer Safety Investigation Committee .
As a result of our judgment based on CONCIO standards, none of our products contain the following ingredients.
- Over 1,200 ingredients that may not be biodegradable, including synthetic polymers, silicone (silicone oil), PEG and PPG
- All 102 previously labeled ingredients including dehydroacetic acid, triclosan, DMDM hydantoin, etc.
- Preservatives such as parabens, phenoxyethanol, benzoic acid, and chlorphenesin
- All synthetic colorants such as Blue No. ○, Yellow No. ○, etc.
-Mammalian animal-derived ingredients such as lanolin, tallow, and mink oil
- Mineral oils such as Vaseline, mineral oil, paraffin
- Organic fluorine compounds (PFAS) and ingredients that may contain PFAS, such as fluoro(C8-18) alcohol phosphoric acid and perfluorooctyltriethoxyrane
- Ethanolamines such as DEA, TEA, MEA
-EWG and Plant extracts and water that have been shown to cause skin allergies and health effects by the Consumer Safety Scientific Committee
- Ingredients prohibited from being added to cosmetics in the EU
- Fragrances and aromatic substances that are required to be listed as ingredients in the EU if they contain 0,001% or more
- All synthetic fragrances
- all essential oils
- UV absorbers such as oxybenzone and ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate
- Base materials that are likely to cause skin irritation, such as PG and DPG
- Sulfates such as sodium laureth sulfate and sodium lauryl sulfate
- Cationic surfactant
- Petroleum-based synthetic surfactant
- Phthalate (phthalic acid)
- Ingredients listed below and all ingredients deemed unnecessary for healthy skin, health, and global environmental protection according to CONCIO's own standards
